UW-Whitewater Softball Sweeps Major Awards, Earns Six All-WIAC Honors
The No. 7 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team earned three of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's most prestigious awards and collected a total of six All-WIAC honors for their performances during the 2017 season.

UW-Whitewater Softball Wins WIAC Tournament, Will Host NCAAs
The No. 9 ranked University of Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team won its fifth straight Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament title over the weekend and will host a regional round of the NCAA Division III Championship this Thursday through Saturday at van Steenderen Softball Complex.

With a majority of its 2016 squad returning this spring, the 2017 University of Wisconsin-Whitewater softball team aims for its third Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season title in the last four years and a fifth straight trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament as it begins its season this Friday at the National Training Center Spring Games in Clermont, Fla.

Yearly, Carthage College invites the community to celebrate the joy of the holiday season at the annual Carthage Christmas Festival, three performances of readings and music in the A. F. Siebert Chapel. These annual concerts are the College's Christmas gift to the community. Tickets to the Christmas Festival have been free since the festival began more than 20 years ago.

Participated in a Summer J-Term study tour to Spain
This course comprised 23 days and 22 nights of travel, entirely in Spain, including a one-week stay in Madrid and a two-week stay in Valencia. The class also spent a day in Toledo (near Madrid) and another in Sagunt (near Valencia). The primary objective of the course was linguistic and cultural immersion. Both of these goals were realized through the mechanism of Spanish family homestays and Spanish language classes in private language academies.

Approximately 1,100 students were graduation candidates for Coastal Carolina University's commencement ceremonies on May 6 and 7, 2016, at the HTC Center on campus. Grand Strand businessman and civic leader Dennis L. Wade was the speaker for the event, which consisted of four separate ceremonies.
